Wake Forest Christmas Parade

The new Festival Park in Wake Forest proved to be a new pathway and staging area for many at this year's Christmas Parade in historic downtown Wake Forest. In a town with a population of approximately 15,000 people, 3,500 of them actually marched in the Xmas parade. It was one of the largest ever and best attended. The parade itself last over 2 hours and was fun times for all.

The new pathway created by Festival Park proved to be a popular walk for those attending the parade. Many used the "walk in the woods" to come to the parade after parking their cars a block away. The entrance was originally completed for the Battle of The Bands which was a fund raiser for the GJCAE fund.

Homemade Otis Spunkmeyer cookies were given out in the parade to many by Janna Johnson to promote the Graham Johnson Cultural Arts Endowment ( GJCAE) and The Cotton Company.

Festival Park is the new home for HerbFest, 2008.
